Portal is constructed from welded steel and recycled glass block, forming a luminous circular threshold set against the brutalist concrete landscape of Freeway Park. Light is housed within the ring, illuminating the glass from within and creating a soft glow that shifts with time of day and weather. The piece contrasts heaviness and transparency, framing a moment of reflection in the middle of an active urban space.
